Jeremy Lin: from Friend’s Couch to Trump Towers

I’m sure you’ve heard about the “LINsanity” going on in New York and throughout the NBA with the rise of Harvard graduate and New York Knicks point guard, Jeremy Lin. If you haven’t, watch SportsCenter – because I cover real estate not sports! Speaking of which, this underdog just traded in his friend’s couch for a condo in the luxurious Trump Towers.

Trump Tower at 10 City Place in the White Plains real estate market of Westchester County will house the rising star. “VaLINtines” day couldn’t be sweeter for the Knicks player, as the New York Post reports the point guard will be set up in landlord David Lee’s condominium. Lee is a former New York Knick player and is obviously pretty savvy in regards to real estate investments.

After being cut twice this year by two different NBA teams, Lin’s career was almost finished before it began. Now he’s breaking records in the land of giants and mingling with New York’s elite in his new apartment complex. Lin’s 136 points in his first 5 starts is the most by any player since the NBA-ABA merger! This includes Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, and any other superstar that you want to mention. The most important thing to Lin is that the team is winning and that he can finally add some square footage to his living quarters. However, it probably won’t be too much additional space – it is still New York real estate that we’re talking about.
