If you’re still somehow a loyal fan of “Jersey Shore,” then you’ve probably tuned in for Season 5 this winter. The cast returned to Seaside Heights, NJ, with fists pumping and in desperate need of some serious GTL, (that’s Gym, Tan, Laundry if you’ve never seen the show). They were clearly in need of a good GTL bag, so the staff at The Green Garmento rolled up their sleeves and got to work on a “Jersey Shore” worthy item. According to the team at The Green Garmento, their GTL routine needed an environmentally friendly update.
The official GTL bag from Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino premiered at the 2010 International Home and Housewares show and we had a great interview with the creators. The Green Garmento created a GTL bag for “The Situation” and the rest of the “Jersey Shore” crew after watching an episode where the entire cast lugged around their clothes from the laundry in plastic bags, but it’s not just for the self-proclaimed “guidos”.
The GTL bag is a fun, eco-friendly, 4-in-1 reusable garment bag. It’s a great way to organize your dry cleaning and cut down on plastic waste. On your way to the cleaners the GTL bag can be carried like a duffel bag, or by the handles like a gym. When you get your clothes home you can hang the whole thing in the closet. When they get dirty, the GTL bag transforms once more with a feather light eco-frame hamper for your clothes.
It’s a great idea that absolutely works in practice. So choose the GTL bag because it’s lightweight, breathable, environmentally-friendly or just because makes you feel like a reality tv star (if that’s what you’re going for).
